about RED BIKE
What kind of future will you have living in these here United States? Remember when you were eleven years old and you had a bike, one that made you dream about a world bigger than the one in which you live? This is that memory. Except it is now.
The regional premiere of Caridad Svich's RED BIKE, reimagined as a community celebration - RED BIKE and the surrounding celebration will occur twice in DC: Once in Anacostia and again at The Parks at Walter Reed. At each event, audiences gather safely outdoors for music, food, local vendors and community. The centerpiece of the event, an immersive reimagining of RED BIKE by Caridad Svich will grow out of the celebration, interwoven with the city.

Community is the foundation of RED BIKE. The entire team behind the production are fully committed to creating a healthy and joyous space for audiences and guests to gather safely.
Attendees are required to show proof of vaccination status (with physical or digital copy of your vaccination card) to attend RED BIKE. Guests may also show a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of show time. Once within the performance space, all attendees are asked to wear masks while moving around the space. Masks may be removed while seated, eating or drinking.
